I know basically the only thing people come to my page for is my icons. Don't worry, I am still working slowly on my Dimensions icons, they will get done eventually this year. I am not getting paid for these, however, so they're just a hobby at the moment. However, this upcoming project is something I could potentially make money with if I can get it off the ground. I'm going to need the support of an entire art community once I get everything put together.

I'm writing a children's book. I have created a DeviantArt page just for it, and will be posting all information, sketches, rough drafts, etc. on its page. To access it, click on this link and you will be brought to [Congo Anywhere]. It is centered around 7 main characters: A young boy named Philip, Arnie and Jerry the brother monkeys, KB the Bear, Henry the Panda, and Lammy and Puff the sheep. All the animals are stuffed animal friends of Philip's who he finds are able to come to life and play with him. They go on many adventures together, and have lots of fun. These books I will be making of them are more in the style of Clifford in length, and are targeted toward kids of probably 5-9. Eventually, I'd like to branch off and allow kids a little older to remain having fun in the setting, maybe make some different types of books; but I digress, baby steps first.

I've actually been thinking of writing a children's book for years now, but I finally have an entire atmosphere and world set up for it. I've got some sketches up already on the CongoAnywhere DA, and I plan on putting more up every week. This also gives me an opportunity to practice on different parts of my art that people who +ed this page may have noticed: I don't draw backgrounds typically. Normally I think backgrounds can take notice away from a character's different features if you are simply drawing a concept art (which is most of what I do). I plan on doing full color backgrounds and atmospheres for the books. Each story will have a specific theme (thusly themed backdrops) and will close with the starting of the next story.
